Gossamer Worms
Tomopterids, also known as gossamer worms, are gelatinous polychaetes that can be found in the deep ocean. They're very eye-catching, creating a kaleidoscopic rippling effect as they swim. The small, fleshy appendages that line their bodies are called parapodia. These act as paddles, providing extra swimming power.
Aren't they fun to watch?
