Provost’s Graduate Excellence Fellowship & Engineering Fellowship (2025-2030)

University of Texas at Austin Graduate School

The Provost’s Graduate Excellence Fellowship package is a recruitment fellowship that is partly supported by funds from the Graduate School and provides funding with full tuition covered for up to five years. The Engineering Fellowship adds an annual $6,000 in addition to the stipend fellowship, future GRA/TA earnings and external fellowships.

Chester M. McKinney Graduate Fellowship (2025)

Applied Research Laboratories (ARL)

The McKinney Graduate Fellowship in Acoustics is a competitive fellowship awarded annually to just one incoming student, providing the opportunity to perform funded research in the field of Acoustics at the Applied Research Laboratories at UT Austin. The compensation package includes a stipend, payment of tuition and fees, a $3,000 cash award, and support for attending professional meetings.

George J. Mitchell Scholarship (2024-2025)

US-Ireland Alliance

The Mitchell Scholarship selects 12 students in the nation to receive full funding (tuition, housing, $1250/month stipend) for a one-year postgraduate degree in Ireland, in recognition of intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service. Value: $45k

Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship (2022 - 2024)

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

The Hollings Scholarship is a nationally competitive award for undergraduate students in the marine sciences.

Selected as one of 127 undergraduates in the nation to be awarded $9,500 per year for two years of full-time undergraduate study and a 10-week paid internship at a NOAA facility during the summer of 2023. Value: $26k

Undergraduate Engineering Student of the Year (2024)

Alabama Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE) / Engineering Council of Birmingham (ECOB)

Nominated by the University of Alabama College of Engineering and selected by the Alabama Society of Professional Engineers and Engineering Council of Birmingham as both the top Undergraduate Electrical Engineering Student of the Year and the top overall Undergraduate Engineering Student of the Year.

Fred Maxwell Jr. Award (2023)

The University of Alabama - Department of Electrical Computer Engineering

Nominated and selected by department faculty as the top ECE Junior at the University of Alabama based on overall performance, including GPA, research involvement, and technical society involvement.

ASLO Multicultural Program (ASLOMP) Travel Grant (2023)

Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO)

Fully funded to attend and present at the June 2023 ASLO Aquatic Sciences Meeting in Spain as part of the ASLOMP Program, which aims to develop diverse and connected cohorts of undergraduate and graduate students in the ocean sciences.

IEEE-HKN Outstanding Junior Award

Selected by department faculty as the most outstanding junior (by college credit) in the university’s Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Honors Society

Presidential Scholarship & National Merit Scholarship (2020-2024)

Awarded a full-ride scholarship (tuition, housing, and books) with a $3,500/year stipend for up to five years of study. Value: $220k

Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship (2020-2024)

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM)

Awarded a four-year scholarship as part of the Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship Program, established by IBM in 1957 to recognize and honor academic excellence among high school students. Value: $8k

National Merit Scholarship (2020)

National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)

Awarded a four-year college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship and recognized for scoring within the top 1% of PSAT test takers
